J-SUMMA

J-SUMMA is a self-taught Jamaican singer, songwriter, guitarist, and occasional bassist. He discovered his voice at the age of seven, and his passion for singing took off at the age of nine. By 19, he had picked up the guitar, which quickly became a mainstay in his musical journey. Throughout his life, he has furthered his love of music and discovered his uniquely vintage sound – drawing influence from the great Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack, Curtis Mayfield, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, and Nina Simon.

J-SUMMA was the brand ambassador for Red Stripe’s 100th anniversary, has performed at the Richard Branson’s Necker Cup, and the European Union’s 60th anniversary in Jamaica. When he isn’t performing or writing new music, J-SUMMA can be found spending time with his parents and family. In his eyes, time is the most important commodity that we have.

In 2016, J-SUMMA crossed paths with notable music manager & producer Rocky, and the two instantly connected around their passion for music. Fast-forward 7 years and they have their first single set to release.

J-SUMMA’s debut release via Oufah Music is set for February 2023.
